Transport Planning Associates is sponsoring an award at Loughborough University for the best dissertation by a student studying on either the MSc ‘Transport Policy and Business Management’ or ‘MSc Sustainable Transport and Travel Planning’ course. This is the first time we have sponsored this programme, with the award presented to the successful student by Bristol based director, David Knight during the Graduation ceremony on 20 December. David is a member of the course advisory group and said “It is good for our company to be putting something back into the education of future professionals. The attractive prize of £500 is a good incentive for students to work hard and deliver important research which may be of benefit to those in our industry”. He added “we will also benefit in being able to review the projects and suggest pieces of research for future dissertations.”
We are also sponsoring the popular ‘Lunch and Lecture’ events at Loughborough University, which on 5 November will focus on ‘Roles and Perspectives of the Transport Policy Community at the UK Level’ and on 3 December entitled ‘Airport Planning’.
