PROJECT
We were instructed by Metropolitan Pole Service to support a planning application for the proposed redevelopment of Hammersmith Police Station, Hammersmith. The redevelopment proposals including new office space, extended stable complex and refurbishment of existing front of house facilities.
APPROACH
The scope of work to support the planning application consisted of providing a Delivery and Servicing Plan for the site, as well as a Transport Statement and Construction Management Plan. Work included a review of the vehicular access and parking, of which swept-path analysis was performed. This supported the evaluation of and existing conditions for the site.
Trip generation analysis was conducted for the proposed development to understand the current and future trips to and from the site, to evaluate the impact the development would have on the surrounding local highway network.
The development of the Transport Statement and the Delivery and Service Plan supported the proposal addressing the parking and servicing matters of the development as well as the impact upon the local highway network.
OUTCOME.
Planning consent was granted in August 2017 and the Police Station has received the agreed redevelopments and is now open for general use.
