PROJECT

TPA were invited to work alongside Bam Construction and Bond Bryan Architects to deliver a new 600 student University Technical College (UTC) in the grounds of Aylesbury College.

APPROACH

TPA developed a transport strategy to manage the parking demand of students at the proposed college and, as work evolved the existing travel patterns of students at the existing college were considered, so that parking demand could be reduced across the campus to accommodate the additional parking needs arising from the proposal. At the conclusion of TPAs work, a strategy was proposed that was endorsed by the County Council to manage the parking demands of 2,500 students and staff.

OUTCOME

The planning application was recommended for approval by Council officers and construction was completed in time for the start of the Year 10 intake.
