It has been another great year for Transport Planning Associates London office, which included a move to new premises providing space for future growth of our team. Several exciting projects are in the pipeline for the New Year, having this year assisted our clients in obtaining planning permissions for a number of sites, including:

  • a residential led scheme in Attleborough for 4,000 new homes;
  • a PD application in Hastings for 246 homes;
  • an expansion of a school in Old Windsor;
  • three housing schemes in the London Borough of Brent;
  • a new ride for a theme park in Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames;
  • a hybrid application for a theme park in Windsor;
  • a drive thru restaurant in South Woodham Ferrers;
  • a change of use scheme for an industrial estate in London Borough of Brent;
  • a mixed faith cemetery in London Borough of Barnet;
  • a residential development in St Albans;
  • a refurbishment of a petrol filling station, Carandon;
  • a children’s nursery in Hertfordshire;
  • 30 traffic safety improvement projects for petrol filling station sites;
  • several highway design schemes approved in Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norwich, West Sussex, Norfolk, Wiltshire, Westminster, Islington;
  • NEC3 site supervisor role for regeneration work at the former Olympic Park in London;
  • a student accommodation scheme approved in Wolverhampton;
  • 23 planning approvals for one client;
  • 300 dwelling residential scheme approved in Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames;
  • a mixed use scheme including 128 new homes in London Borough of Haringey.

We have also had successes at planning appeal this year, including:

  • a planning enforcement case in Islington (Public Inquiry);
  • a retail scheme in LB Bromley (Hearing);
  • a fitness gym in Bedford (Written Representation);
  • a residential scheme in Uttelsford district (Public Inquiry);
  • a residential scheme in the borough of Bedford (Written Representation);
  • a 275 bed hotel in London Borough of Hillingdon (Hearing).
