The scheme comprised the reconfiguration of an existing retail unit of 1,285 sq.m. to an office space of 632 sq.m. and retail space of 653 sq.m. on Queen’s Lancashire Way at the edge of Burnley town centre.
APPROACH
We produced a Transport Statement to support the re-development of the site.
This included a review of access to the site by all transport modes supporting the sustainable location of the site. A review of parking standards was undertaken to advise on the provision of cycle and car parking spaces for the architect.
The trip generation of the existing and proposed uses were undertaken which concluded that the proposed development would not have a severe impact on the local highway network.
OUTCOME
The scheme was granted planning permission.
