PROJECT

We were instructed by Croudace Homes to provide comprehensive transport planning services for the erection of 281 residential dwellings at Roundwood, located to the north of Stevenage.

We worked to ensure this scheme, allocated within the North Hertfordshire District Council Local Plan policy GA1, took full advantage of sustainable and active travel modes to connect the site with the established community in Great Ashby.

APPROACH

Our team supported the planning application with robust technical submissions, justifying the off-site impact of the development, which included parking restrictions on local roads to allow for a bus service to operate close to the site.

We worked closely with the planning and highway authority in pre-application workshops to agree the access strategy and Masterplan for the site, which resulted in the access to the proposed scheme being split between the two available access points.

OUTCOME

Croudace Homes received a resolution to grant planning permission for 281 homes, with a Manage and Monitor approach being agreed in relation to suitable mitigation for the scheme.

Croudace are now proceeding with the S106 Agreement and discharging planning conditions.
