PROJECT

We were appointed by The Arch Company to provide a Transport Statement and a Delivery and Servicing Management Plan for the proposed change of use application for Arches 344-349, Camberwell Station Road, Southwark, SE5 9JN.

The site comprises six arches with a total Gross Internal Area of 630m2. The development sought permission for change of use to flexible Use Class B2, B8, E (a-d) and/or (g).

APPROACH

A Transport Statement was prepared in support of the planning application, demonstrating the proposals compliance with the relevant transport policies on parking and sustainability. It was also illustrated that the proposals would not have a detrimental impact on the local highway network in terms of operational capacity, highways safety, or on-street parking.

The Delivery and Servicing Management Plan was prepared to discharge a condition of consent. This document outline the arrangements in place to accommodate deliveries and servicing for the arches at this site, while taking in to account existing highway restrictions. Several measures were outlined in regards to delivery management and the continued monitoring of the document, in order to mitigate against the anticipated transport impacts of the development and create a greener and safer environment for future occupiers and local community.

OUTCOME

The planning application was submitted to the London Borough of Southwark in October of 2023. Post submission negotiation with the local highway authority led to the application being granted permission in June 2024 .
